Where Can I Find Millennia Institute Admission and Subject Combination Information?

Start with the Ministry of Education’s post-secondary overview and Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) instructions to find how students enter Millennia Institute (MI). MOE identifies MI as a three-year pre-university route to the A-Level examination, with admission through JAE. Check the application year and current eligibility before making course choices.

For the subjects themselves, go directly to MI’s official subject-combination page. It shows the school’s published Arts, Commerce and Science combinations and their H1/H2 structure. The national list of A-Level subjects is not a promise that every combination or elective is available at MI.

Did you know? Choosing MI through the national posting exercise and receiving a particular subject combination are two different decisions. The posting route depends on that year’s admission conditions; the school allocates combinations using its own published prerequisites, academic considerations and available places. Keep both sets of sources open, rather than judging the entire pathway from one historical score.

What should I check before making a decision?

A three-year pathway, not simply a slower JC

MI prepares students for the A-Level curriculum over three years. Its Commerce stream makes it distinct from a simple choice between Arts and Science at many JCs. Begin with what the student wants to study and which prerequisites the intended university programme may require, not with the assumption that a stream name determines every future course.

MI’s current subject-combination page lists the available arrangements. General Paper and Project Work sit alongside content-based subjects, but the detail of H1/H2 choices and school-based allocation should be checked on the school’s page for the relevant cohort. See eduKate’s JC subject-combination explanation for the wider H1/H2/H3 and university-admission context.

JAE course choice versus school subject allocation

Before submitting JAE choices, consult the current MOE JAE booklet, eligibility instructions and MI information in SchoolFinder. Historical net aggregate ranges describe an earlier intake; they do not guarantee an offer in the next exercise. Do not confuse a national course or stream selection with the school’s final assignment of a detailed subject combination.

Once offered a place, read MI’s enrolment and subject-selection directions. Ask about assumed knowledge, subject-specific entry considerations and how oversubscribed combinations are allocated. Check the actual subjects a student previously studied before assuming a course is manageable.

Do not use 2026 instructions for the SEC cohort

Students taking the first common Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) examinations in 2027 will enter the changed post-secondary admissions arrangements planned for 2028. MOE has announced a Post-Secondary Admissions Exercise (PSE) replacing the current JAE and other admission routes for that intake. Follow the latest implementation notices for the student’s examination cohort.

For the full reform context, read After SEC: 2028 Post-Secondary Admissions. Students from earlier cohorts should use the applicable JAE instructions rather than treating a future scheme as already in force. Returning Singaporeans may need the separate SPERS-JC/MI route.

What should I do next?

Open the current MOE JAE page, identify the relevant admission cohort, then compare MI’s subject-combination list against the student’s strengths and possible university prerequisites. Save the dated school document and check directly with MI if a subject, prerequisite or allocation rule is uncertain.

Use the Singapore School Pathways & Calendar for the wider route, JAE application source guide for the immediate application process, and Singapore school directory for institution comparisons.
