Where Can Singapore Students Find UAC Qualifications Assessment Service Information?

Use UAC’s official Qualifications Assessment Service (QAS) page. It explains a service for obtaining a qualifications assessment before a formal study application, or where an institution requests a statement. Singapore students should check whether the intended recipient needs it before starting a separate request.

Did you know a QAS statement is not an application for a university place? UAC describes the assessment as guidance and says participating institutions are not bound by it. Keep requesting an assessment, applying to a course and receiving an offer as three distinct tasks.

Read the service’s scope and disclaimer, then use its application prompts for your supporting-document list. For file preparation, consult UAC’s document requirements and upload instructions. An account created in the right place is a useful beginning, but it does not establish course eligibility.

A QAS request produces an assessment statement. It does not replace the receiving institution’s application or selection process.

What should you settle before requesting a statement?

Ask who will use it and why

The QAS page limits its assessment scope to completed Year 12-level studies and tertiary studies. If you are still waiting for school results or your circumstances do not fit clearly, ask UAC about the applicable scope rather than assuming the service will issue a useful provisional answer.

Send the receiving institution a focused question: “For this programme and intake, do I need a separate QAS statement, or will my qualifications be assessed through the normal application?” Preserve the answer. This can prevent arranging an additional service when the university wants a different route.

Prepare the study record, not a homemade conversion

UAC’s overseas qualification document instructions ask for an official transcript and, where the qualification is complete, an award certificate. Check the current requirements for non-English records and any translation before commissioning one. Do not replace the official grades with a personal ATAR calculation.

Compare names, study dates and qualification titles across the records. If a document uses another name, follow the official evidence requirements. Make a list of what the issuer must supply and what you can upload yourself; a missing final page can be more important than an attractively formatted cover.

Check the application’s prompts and files

Use the QAS application’s own document prompts, then cross-check the upload specifications. UAC’s upload guide specifies PDFs, filenames of no more than 35 characters and individual files smaller than 5 MB. Reopen that guide before submitting in case specifications change.

Open every finished file and check readability, orientation and all requested pages. Keep an untouched copy of the issuing institution’s record. Before considering the task complete, save the application confirmation and inspect any outstanding document request in the relevant portal.

Read the statement as a dated assessment

The QAS page says the statement reflects study history at a point in time and that later-added qualifications or results are not incorporated after issue. It also distinguishes a UAC rank from the selection rank an institution may use. Ask about timing before requesting a statement while results are still changing.

Use the statement to make the next admissions conversation more precise: which evidence was assessed, which course you are considering and what additional conditions remain. Do not relabel the assessment as a national conversion accepted by every Australian university or a prediction of the eventual offer.

Your next step: confirm the purpose before the request

Write the intended university, course, intake and reason for obtaining QAS. Confirm that the service and timing suit your qualifications. If the recipient does require it, follow the official request and document instructions while keeping the actual course application on a separate checklist.
