Use the AAMC’s Register for the MCAT Exam page and Valid Identification for MCAT Examinees guidance. For a Singapore appointment, check the international testing route and the live registration system, not a US calendar or a preparation company’s booking summary.
Did you know an available test date and acceptable identification are separate checks? Your first and last names, including their order, must match the ID under AAMC’s rules. A booking does not override the identification requirements on test day.
For the current opening, the 2027 registration announcement places Singapore in Group C, opening on 22 October 2026 at noon Eastern Time. Reopen that announcement before acting and convert the stated time carefully. Choose the testing year first, then confirm the actual date, location and appointment in the system.

What should you check before choosing an appointment?
Do not mix a registration announcement with an old calendar
The AAMC hub now points applicants towards the 2027 testing year, while the international calendar page reviewed for this guide still labels its displayed schedule 2026. This is a good reason to inspect headings rather than copy dates from the first table you find.
Use the current announcement and registration system to resolve the year and Singapore availability. Keep a note of the intended medical-school intake and its score deadline alongside the exam year. If two pages appear inconsistent, ask AAMC before making travel arrangements around an assumed date.
Compare your ID with the account before booking
The ID guidance requires an unexpired, government-issued, physical document meeting all its listed criteria, including an identifying photograph and English text. It lists passports among acceptable documents, subject to those criteria; school IDs and virtual or digital IDs are not accepted.
Place the document beside the registration details and compare spelling and name order carefully. Check the page’s specific treatment of middle names rather than improvising a format. If your document will expire before the appointment, allow time to replace it and ask AAMC about any unresolved mismatch.
Treat appointment confirmation as a separate task
AAMC’s scheduling instructions say seats have limited capacity and appointments are confirmed by email. The guidance says that if no confirmation email arrives within 24 hours, the appointment was not successfully scheduled. Follow its instructions rather than assuming an unfinished session reserved a place.
Save the confirmation and verify the date, test-centre address and registered name. For changes, reopen the current scheduling rules before acting. A notification of possible availability is not itself a confirmed appointment, so keep checking the status that applies to your own booking.
Keep test eligibility separate from university eligibility
The MCAT FAQs explain eligibility to sit the exam, including the intended application to a health-professions programme and circumstances requiring special permission. Those test rules do not establish that a particular medical school will consider your qualification or accept the resulting score.
Work backwards from each school’s own application instructions. Ask which test and sitting it accepts, when results must arrive and how official scores are delivered. Keep the test booking, score submission and medical-school application as separate tasks with separate evidence of completion.
Your next step: check the year and name before the seat
Open the current AAMC announcement, your intended school’s test instructions and the ID guidance together. Confirm the testing year and name details, then use the official registration route. Save and read the actual appointment confirmation rather than relying on a calendar screenshot.
