Where Can Singapore Students Find GRE ScoreSelect and Score-Sending Instructions?

Start with ETS’s Sending Your GRE General Test Scores page. Its ScoreSelect section distinguishes choices available at the test centre on test day from choices available afterwards through an Additional Score Report request.

Before choosing an option, check the receiving programme’s own policy. ETS warns that some programmes require results from every GRE administration an applicant has taken. A reporting option in your account does not override that requirement. Also consult the approved GRE score-recipient directory to resolve the destination.

Did you know? Your personal score report and the report sent to an institution are different documents. ETS’s Getting Your Scores guide explains their contents. Use the official sending route when the programme requests official delivery; saving your own report is not evidence that the institution received it.

What should I check before selecting GRE scores?

Keep three decisions separate: which results the programme requires, which administrations you select, and where the official report must go. A clear answer to one does not automatically answer the other two.

Read the option for the stage you are at

At the test centre on test day, ETS describes Most Recent and All options. After test day, its Additional Score Report route also offers Any, allowing selection of one or more administrations within the reportable period.

Read the current explanation before confirming an order. Write the dates of the administrations you intend to report beside the programme’s instructions. This makes the selection easier to check than relying on a remembered label such as best scores.

Compare the personal report with institutional delivery

ETS says the Test-taker Score Report is for your own information and records. It includes a cumulative record and the authorised recipients and scores reported to them. The Institution Score Report contains the dates and scores selected for reporting through ScoreSelect.

Use your account record to check what you requested. If an application separately asks you to enter test details or upload a document, follow that instruction too. Do not assume a self-entered score initiates an official report, or that an official report completes every application field.

Resolve the recipient before submitting

The approved-recipient page lists institutions and fellowship sponsors. It says not to direct results to a fellowship sponsor unless you have applied or have been asked to send them. It also explains the asterisk used for institutions that do not offer graduate programmes.

If a university fellowship is not listed, ETS directs applicants to the university for the appropriate code. Ask about the exact programme and intake rather than selecting a similarly named destination just to finish the request. Keep the reply with your application notes.

Check reportability and leave time for matching

ETS provides a five-year reportability rule and a date-checking tool on its Getting Your Scores page. Check the actual date for your sitting, especially when using an older result. A receiving programme may have its own evidence requirements, so confirm those separately.

Allow time for reporting and for the institution to match the result to your application. For the earlier booking task, use our GRE General Test registration and ID guide. For the wider file, return to overseas university application requirements.

What should I do next?

Open one programme’s reporting instructions beside the ETS sending guide. Record the required administrations, exact recipient and evidence deadline, then review the selection before confirming. Afterwards, check the application’s outstanding-items list rather than treating the send request as an admission decision.

Take one question further

The same learning habit can travel across subjects, while each subject keeps its own methods. These routes help you notice a difficulty, understand one part of it, and return to something you can do.

A word is familiar, but using it is difficult.

Move from recognising a word to retrieving it in a new context. Understand vocabulary plateaus.

Try it without the guide: Choose one word you already know. Close the guide and use it in a new sentence. Explain why it fits; try another context tomorrow.

A piece of writing has ideas, but the reader loses the thread.

Make the order of events and the links between sentences clear. Explore composition writing.

Try it without the guide: Choose one short paragraph. Read the relevant explanation, close it, and revise the paragraph. Ask someone to tell you what happened and why.

The Mathematics seems familiar, but marks still disappear.

Try it without the guide: For a Secondary 4 A-Math question you have attempted, locate the first uncertain line. Repair that step, then try a comparable question without the worked answer.

A Science fact is remembered, but the explanation is incomplete.

Connect the evidence to a scientific idea and the resulting change. Follow the Primary Science learning route.

Try it without the guide: Choose a familiar Primary Science example. Explain the evidence, the idea and the result without notes. Then change one condition and explain your prediction.

Two accounts of the world seem to disagree.

Try it without the guide: Take one claim. Find the source best placed to support it, note its date, and state what remains uncertain. Return to your original question.

Try it without the guide: Choose one small task the child has practised. Agree on a calm, brief attempt without prompts. Use what happens to choose one next step, then stop.
