Where Can Singapore Applicants Find Chevening’s Eligible Course Search?

Start with Chevening’s official Find a course page, then read its course eligibility guidance. The finder helps identify courses for the scholarship’s three course choices; you must also apply separately to the universities.

Before planning an application, check the Chevening Singapore page. On 19 October 2026, it stated that applications for the 2027–2028 scholarships were closed. Use the course tools for research and recheck the country page for the relevant application cycle—do not assume that finding a course means applications are open.

Did you know? A course search result is not a university offer or a scholarship award. Chevening warns that its course-finder data may not be completely accurate, so match the exact programme against its eligibility rules and the university’s current information. Our overseas university application requirements guide provides the wider application route.

How should I turn course results into three suitable choices?

Use the finder to build a shortlist, not to finish the decision. A useful shortlist records both Chevening’s course requirements and the university’s separate admissions requirements for the same programme and intake.

Read the full eligibility guidance before shortlisting

Chevening’s guidance sets out requirements including full-time study in the UK, an autumn start and a course lasting nine to twelve months. It describes the taught-master’s route, excluded course types and specific exceptions. Read those notes together rather than relying on a course title containing the word master.

Check the actual mode and duration offered for your intake. A university may offer similarly named full-time, part-time, distance-learning or research programmes; they are not interchangeable for this purpose. A department page describing several routes is not enough to identify your intended course.

Make the three choices coherent

The guidance asks applicants to select three courses in preference order. It explains that choices should have similar content and may be at one university or different universities. This is a chance to connect your study plans with the particular programmes you are considering.

Compare programme descriptions and modules, not just institution names. Note why each choice fits your goals and whether you satisfy its academic and other entry requirements. Course eligibility for Chevening does not establish your personal eligibility for admission or for the scholarship.

Investigate a missing result carefully

Chevening’s missing-course guidance suggests checking the exact course name, spelling and additional results pages. Search for the course rather than assuming the department’s name is the programme title. Its finder page also explains that partner or advertised listings can affect result order.

If a suitable-looking course is still absent, consult the eligibility guidance and use the official missing-course reporting route where appropriate. Do not treat a first-page position as a quality ranking, or a missing listing as a final eligibility decision.

Keep university applications on a separate track

Chevening says applicants must apply directly to their chosen universities as well as making scholarship course choices. For each programme, open the university’s current postgraduate admissions page and check the intake, documents, entry requirements and application deadline.

Keep the university deadlines and Chevening’s current-cycle instructions in separate columns of your planning notes. An application to one does not submit the other. Revisit the official scholarship guidance as the process develops instead of carrying forward a deadline or condition from an older cycle.

What should I do next?

Create a three-row shortlist with the exact course name, university, intake, mode, duration, official course link and admissions deadline. Then check the relevant Chevening cycle and applicant guidance before taking any application step.

Take one question further

The same learning habit can travel across subjects, while each subject keeps its own methods. These routes help you notice a difficulty, understand one part of it, and return to something you can do.

A word is familiar, but using it is difficult.

Move from recognising a word to retrieving it in a new context. Understand vocabulary plateaus.

Try it without the guide: Choose one word you already know. Close the guide and use it in a new sentence. Explain why it fits; try another context tomorrow.

A piece of writing has ideas, but the reader loses the thread.

Make the order of events and the links between sentences clear. Explore composition writing.

Try it without the guide: Choose one short paragraph. Read the relevant explanation, close it, and revise the paragraph. Ask someone to tell you what happened and why.

The Mathematics seems familiar, but marks still disappear.

Find the first point where the working stops being reliable. Find Secondary 4 A-Math mark leakage.

Try it without the guide: For a Secondary 4 A-Math question you have attempted, locate the first uncertain line. Repair that step, then try a comparable question without the worked answer.

A Science fact is remembered, but the explanation is incomplete.

Connect the evidence to a scientific idea and the resulting change. Follow the Primary Science learning route.

Try it without the guide: Choose a familiar Primary Science example. Explain the evidence, the idea and the result without notes. Then change one condition and explain your prediction.

Two accounts of the world seem to disagree.

Check the question, source, date and evidence before combining claims. Explore the World Knowledge research library.

Try it without the guide: Take one claim. Find the source best placed to support it, note its date, and state what remains uncertain. Return to your original question.

There is plenty of help, but independence is hard to see.

Check what the learner can understand and do after support is removed. Understand how education works.

Try it without the guide: Choose one small task the child has practised. Agree on a calm, brief attempt without prompts. Use what happens to choose one next step, then stop.
