Where Can Singapore Students Find Indonesian University International Undergraduate Admission Information?

Did you know? Singapore students researching Indonesia university admissions should start with the intended university’s own international undergraduate pages, not a single national portal. Universitas Indonesia’s International Office publishes its undergraduate international-student routes and requirements. Institut Teknologi Bandung’s International Undergraduate Programme publishes another route with different conditions.

Your first decision is the applicant’s nationality and application channel. Universitas Indonesia’s official international admissions portal says it is for applicants who do not hold Indonesian nationality, while Indonesian applicants are directed to a different enrolment system. Attending school in Singapore does not by itself decide the citizenship category.

Next verify the particular degree, entry year, accepted high-school qualification and selection method. UI’s international-class information distinguishes routes and faculties; ITB publishes an International Undergraduate Programme with its own admission tests and documents. Neither university’s last published calendar should be copied into another institution’s application.

What Singapore families should check before applying

Nationality is not the same as where you went to school

A Singapore Citizen, an Indonesian Citizen educated in Singapore and a third-country national may encounter different portal instructions. UI makes that distinction explicitly. Start by reading the institution’s applicant definitions, then choose the correct application route. Do not create two paid applications simply to see which portal works.

If citizenship circumstances are complex, ask the university to identify the route and evidence it accepts. An international-class degree is not automatically limited to foreign nationals; ITB’s IUP information, for example, addresses Indonesian and overseas applicants.

Match qualifications to the actual degree

University-level descriptions can be broad. The programme or faculty may add subject prerequisites, eligibility conditions or assessments. UI’s 2026/27 Global Talent international-class notice, for example, details school performance, supporting documents and faculty interviews. That is a specific route for its stated intake, not a national rule or a promise of admission.

Compare the student’s A-Levels, IB, diploma or other qualification with the precise course requirements. A programme may request a graduation certificate, school transcripts or a school letter about English as the language of instruction. Do not infer that a waiver accepted for one UI pathway applies everywhere.

Check test rules and language evidence separately

ITB’s International Undergraduate Programme describes entrance assessments and conditions that vary by programme. UI’s international classes also distinguish admissions methods. Put examinations, portfolios, interviews, English scores and validity dates in separate checklist columns. A student should only book a test after identifying the route that uses it.

Where a university publishes a language-test exemption, check exactly how the school must certify the medium of instruction. A Singapore school transcript does not automatically replace the letter required by a specific faculty.

Keep the intake and deadlines accurate

The UI international application portal displays currently open rounds and time zone information. ITB maintains a separate programme schedule. For 2027 entry, read the new intake announcement when published; do not present dates from the 2026 cycle as if they apply unchanged.

Retain the final submission acknowledgement, chosen degree, application number and any later assessment instructions. An offer decision, any tuition assistance, and immigration permission for study are separate steps.

Ask the university rather than guessing

If the school qualification is not named, write to the university’s admissions route with the programme, intake, nationality and exact credential. Ask how it should be evaluated and what supporting document is needed. This is more reliable than unofficial conversion tables or another applicant’s offer.

Your next step

Shortlist one UI and one ITB programme. Check the correct applicant portal, qualifications, required tests, language proof and next open intake. Then save the relevant official admissions page with the date you reviewed it.

For broader planning use Overseas University Application Requirements and English-language requirements for overseas universities.

A word is familiar, but using it is difficult.

Move from recognising a word to retrieving it in a new context. Understand vocabulary plateaus.

Try it without the guide: For a Secondary 4 A-Math question you have attempted, locate the first uncertain line. Repair that step, then try a comparable question without the worked answer.

A Science fact is remembered, but the explanation is incomplete.

Connect the evidence to a scientific idea and the resulting change. Follow the Primary Science learning route.

Try it without the guide: Choose a familiar Primary Science example. Explain the evidence, the idea and the result without notes. Then change one condition and explain your prediction.

Two accounts of the world seem to disagree.

Try it without the guide: Take one claim. Find the source best placed to support it, note its date, and state what remains uncertain. Return to your original question.
