Three students in school uniforms work through open books at a classroom table, with textbooks and stationery nearby and study notes on the whiteboard behind them.

Where Can I Find AEIS and S-AEIS Test Requirements? | English, Mathematics and Entry Levels

Did you know? AEIS and S-AEIS have separate official pages. Start with MOE’s AEIS guide or MOE’s S-AEIS guide, then check the exercise’s eligibility and test details for the child’s age and intended entry level.

For test preparation, open AEIS test details or S-AEIS test details. Use those instructions to establish the English and Mathematics requirements that apply. Primary applicants should also read the relevant Cambridge English Qualifications result requirement in the official application instructions.

Your immediate next step is to record the exercise year, eligibility, applicable test level, English evidence and application documents before choosing preparation materials. SEAB provides separate AEIS application procedures and S-AEIS application procedures. Use the current cycle’s dates and requirements rather than copying an older applicant’s checklist.

Match the source to the applicant’s circumstances, entry year and intended outcome.

Match the child to the exercise first

Start with the official eligibility page, not a workbook labelled with a Singapore school year. Age, intended entry and exercise conditions are part of deciding which instructions apply.

Keep AEIS and S-AEIS in separate notes if you are considering both. Check each exercise’s offered levels and current application window independently. A requirement copied from one exercise may not answer the other.

Check English evidence before planning the application

SEAB’s application procedures require primary applicants to upload the relevant Cambridge English Qualifications statement of results. They specify conditions for the stated cycle. Read those conditions before scheduling a test or assuming that an existing result is usable.

Check the required qualification, score and timing through MOE’s current eligibility instructions. If a result’s suitability is unclear, seek clarification before paying an application fee or committing to a preparation schedule.

Use the official test details to choose learning material

Record the test information from the correct exercise and level page. Then compare the child’s existing learning with the stated preparation scope. That reveals whether the next task is a content gap, unfamiliar language or practice with the format.

Our primary syllabus source guide can help you locate Singapore curriculum information. Curriculum documents provide learning context; the admissions test details remain the source for the test’s particular requirements.

Follow the application status through to the test

SEAB directs applicants to check the Candidates Portal and their registered email for updates. A submitted application needs to pass the relevant checks; retain the receipt and follow requests for missing information.

Before test day, confirm the approved registration, entry proof and current candidate instructions. Keep dates, documents and next actions together. This is more useful than treating submission alone as the end of the process.

Take one question further

The same learning habit can travel across subjects, while each subject keeps its own methods. These routes help you notice a difficulty, understand one part of it, and return to something you can do.

A word is familiar, but using it is difficult.

Move from recognising a word to retrieving it in a new context. Understand vocabulary plateaus.

Try it without the guide: Choose one word you already know. Close the guide and use it in a new sentence. Explain why it fits; try another context tomorrow.

A piece of writing has ideas, but the reader loses the thread.

Make the order of events and the links between sentences clear. Explore composition writing.

Try it without the guide: Choose one short paragraph. Read the relevant explanation, close it, and revise the paragraph. Ask someone to tell you what happened and why.

The Mathematics seems familiar, but marks still disappear.

Find the first point where the working stops being reliable. Find Secondary 4 A-Math mark leakage.

Try it without the guide: For a Secondary 4 A-Math question you have attempted, locate the first uncertain line. Repair that step, then try a comparable question without the worked answer.

A Science fact is remembered, but the explanation is incomplete.

Connect the evidence to a scientific idea and the resulting change. Follow the Primary Science learning route.

Try it without the guide: Choose a familiar Primary Science example. Explain the evidence, the idea and the result without notes. Then change one condition and explain your prediction.

Two accounts of the world seem to disagree.

Check the question, source, date and evidence before combining claims. Explore the World Knowledge research library.

Try it without the guide: Take one claim. Find the source best placed to support it, note its date, and state what remains uncertain. Return to your original question.

There is plenty of help, but independence is hard to see.

Check what the learner can understand and do after support is removed. Understand how education works.

Try it without the guide: Choose one small task the child has practised. Agree on a calm, brief attempt without prompts. Use what happens to choose one next step, then stop.
