2019 Archive | Punggol Primary 3 Science Tuition → Current P3 Science System
This page is retained as part of eduKate Singapore’s historical archive. It was originally published in 2019, when the site used many separate location-and-level tuition pages.
The URL remains for continuity, but the current Primary 3 Science programme now lives in a smaller set of canonical rooms.

What survived from the 2019 model
- Small-group Science teaching remained important.
- Understanding was more important than memorising isolated facts.
- Students needed to explain reasoning, not only produce final answers.
- The tutor needed enough visibility to detect individual misunderstandings.
What changed
The old page treated Primary Science mainly as a large body of knowledge to cover and promoted broad examination outcomes. The current architecture is more precise.
Primary 3 is the Installation Year.
The main job is to install the first scientific habits:
- observe before guessing;
- compare using relevant characteristics;
- classify with a consistent rule;
- distinguish observation from inference;
- use scientific words because they carry meaning;
- explain a relationship clearly;
- continue after tutor support is removed.
Current Primary 3 Science routes
- Primary 3 Science | The Installation Year — what P3 should build.
- P3 Decision Room — whether intervention is necessary.
- P3 Small Group Runtime — what happens in a three-student lesson.
- P3 Tutor Role — when to observe, ask, wait and intervene.
- P3 Parent Evaluation — how to judge whether tutoring is useful.
Why keep this archive page?
Deleting every historical URL would erase the path by which the site developed. Keeping selected archive routes lets old links remain understandable while preventing them from competing with the current canonical Science building.
This archive page is therefore deliberately not a second P3 programme page. Use the current routes above for live information.
