Where Can Students Find DELF and DALF Exam Registration Information in Singapore?

For Singapore registration, start with Alliance Française de Singapour’s DELF/DALF examination page. It provides the local session calendar, version-specific registration links and current terms. Choose the examination version and level before using a booking link; a French class enrolment is a different task.

As reviewed on 19 October 2026, that page lists November-session registration deadlines of 18 October 2026 for Tout Public and 11 October 2026 for Junior/Prim. Those listed deadlines have passed. The centre’s FAQ says to enquire whether manual registration remains available after a deadline; that is not a promise of a place.

Did you know you do not need to collect every lower-level diploma first? The Institut français explanation of DELF/DALF describes independent diplomas: DELF A1–B2 and DALF C1–C2. For university use, check the receiving programme’s accepted evidence and required level separately from the exam-registration decision.

Which details prevent a mistaken registration?

Distinguish the audience version from the proficiency level

The local page separates Prim, Junior and Tout Public routes. These describe different audiences; they are not themselves the proficiency result. Read the relevant registration instructions to check the version suitable for the candidate, especially when a student is approaching an age boundary.

Write two separate entries before booking: the audience version and the diploma level. A parent saying “Junior” has not yet identified the level to register for. If uncertain, ask the examination centre using the student’s age and intended purpose rather than selecting whichever link appears first.

Choose a realistic level, not a chain of certificates

The local FAQ confirms that the four DELF certificates are self-contained. The Institut français guidance also explains that entering a higher diploma does not require the lower one and that passing a higher level does not automatically award all earlier diplomas.

Use this independence to make a thoughtful choice, not to skip preparation. Ask a teacher to help compare your current reading, listening, writing and speaking with the chosen level’s tasks. A class label, an informal conversation and an official examination are different kinds of evidence.

Treat the registration deadline as its own decision

An examination scheduled for a future month can already be closed for ordinary registration. The dated position above is therefore more useful than a notice saying merely “November exams.” Reopen the local page when you are ready to act, since the centre may update its information.

If the normal window has ended, use the FAQ’s enquiry route and wait for an explicit answer. Do not infer acceptance from a visible old registration button, a submitted message or another candidate’s experience. Before making plans, ask which session and version the centre can actually confirm.

Keep diploma validity separate from university acceptance

The Institut français overview states that DELF/DALF diplomas have lifetime validity. That describes the diploma; it does not mean any level is sufficient for every degree or that a diploma replaces academic entry requirements.

For an overseas application, record the exact programme, teaching language, accepted language qualification and required level. Ask how and when the university needs the evidence. Keep its answer beside the examination plan so a successful language-learning milestone is connected to the correct application task.

Your next step: identify the version and ask one clear question

Write the candidate’s age, intended diploma level, preferred session and purpose. Check the local registration page. If the listed window is closed, ask whether any manual route is available rather than assuming the examination date leaves time to register.

For the wider application route, continue with French university application information. The Singapore school pathways collection connects the wider education decisions.

Take one question further

The same learning habit can travel across subjects, while each subject keeps its own methods. These routes help you notice a difficulty, understand one part of it, and return to something you can do.

A word is familiar, but using it is difficult.

Move from recognising a word to retrieving it in a new context. Understand vocabulary plateaus.

Try it without the guide: Choose one word you already know. Close the guide and use it in a new sentence. Explain why it fits; try another context tomorrow.

Try it without the guide: Choose one short paragraph. Read the relevant explanation, close it, and revise the paragraph. Ask someone to tell you what happened and why.

Try it without the guide: For a Secondary 4 A-Math question you have attempted, locate the first uncertain line. Repair that step, then try a comparable question without the worked answer.

A Science fact is remembered, but the explanation is incomplete.

Connect the evidence to a scientific idea and the resulting change. Follow the Primary Science learning route.

Try it without the guide: Choose a familiar Primary Science example. Explain the evidence, the idea and the result without notes. Then change one condition and explain your prediction.

Try it without the guide: Take one claim. Find the source best placed to support it, note its date, and state what remains uncertain. Return to your original question.

Try it without the guide: Choose one small task the child has practised. Agree on a calm, brief attempt without prompts. Use what happens to choose one next step, then stop.
