Start with NTU’s Renaissance Engineering Programme (REP) page. It brings together the programme description and qualification-specific subject requirements. Read the row for your own qualification rather than borrowing another applicant’s checklist.
Use NTU’s undergraduate application-process page for submission instructions. It says applicants selecting REP must complete a personal statement and one online reference report. Check the current application status menu for the required tasks and completion instructions.
For selection-stage information, read the REP admission interview page. Academic eligibility, a complete application and an interview invitation are separate checkpoints; meeting a listed minimum does not itself confirm an offer.

Practical checks before you act
Match the requirements to your actual qualification
NTU lists separate subject requirements for Singapore A-Levels, IB, NUS High School Diploma, polytechnic diplomas and international qualifications. Read the whole relevant entry, then follow NTU’s admissions guidance for that qualification and intake. A subject name alone may not resolve the required level.
If results are pending, check the applicable instructions about when final results must be available. Record your qualification, expected release date and intended intake before making an enquiry. Do not assume another qualification’s result-update process can be used for yours. Keep the university’s response with your notes so that an assumption does not silently become part of your application plan.
Give the referee time and use the official process
Ask a suitable referee early enough to consider the request and complete the university’s instructions. Share accurate context about the programme and the deadline. A reference report is the referee’s assessment; do not write or submit it as though you were that person.
For your own statement, choose real experiences you can explain clearly: what you attempted, what you contributed and what you learned. These are suggested reflection prompts, not an unpublished REP marking scheme. Follow the actual form’s questions and limits rather than an old applicant’s essay template.
Understand the interview format without inventing questions
Did you know? NTU’s REP interview page describes Multiple Mini Interviews alongside an individual interview and a group activity. It explains that selection considers qualities including communication, teamwork and ethical decision-making. Read the official explanation before relying on informal interview anecdotes.
A useful preparation habit is to explain a decision calmly, listen to a different view and identify what information is missing. Do not memorise a supposedly guaranteed answer or present a suggested practice scenario as a real interview question. Follow the instructions in any actual invitation you receive.
Check whether the programme fits your learning plans
The programme page describes a fully residential, four-and-a-half-year dual-degree route connecting engineering with business and humanities. Read its current curriculum and overseas-study information as a whole. A programme title cannot tell you whether its commitments suit how you want to study.
Make a short list of questions about residential life, the sequence of study and your intended area of interest. Separate confirmed arrangements from options described as subject to change. This keeps programme fit distinct from the understandable excitement of applying to a selective course.
What to do next
Read the requirement row for your qualification, then use NTU’s application checklist to track your statement, referee report and supporting records. Check the intended intake before acting. eduKate’s existing NUS/NTU/SMU admissions explanation provides the broader framework; this guide locates the REP-specific sources.
