Check NUS Law written-test and interview requirements on the NUS Office of Admissions’ Faculty Interview and Test Dates page. Find its Law section, then read the prerequisites for your qualification separately.
The Law section states that, from 2026, only shortlisted applicants who succeed in the Admissions Written Test will be invited to the Admissions Interview. Both stages must be attended to be considered for Law admission. Being shortlisted for the written test is therefore not already an interview invitation.
The public calendar currently lists a 12 April 2026 test and 24–25 April 2026 interviews. These are past-cycle dates, not confirmed 2027 appointments. Did you know? A calendar helps you plan, while an individual invitation tells you what you actually need to do. Keep the two records separate.

Practical checks before you act
Read the new gate in the right order
For a practical tracker, write down the latest message you have received and the action it asks for. Do not label an assessment “confirmed” solely because another applicant has posted their date. Your own record should show what you know, rather than what you expect.
For family planning, put a status column beside each action. “Application submitted”, “invitation received” and “attendance confirmed” are different records. This makes it easier to notice a task that still needs attention without trying to predict the final admissions decision.
Use your own qualification’s prerequisites
NUS says programme prerequisites sit alongside the requirements of the applicant category and can change annually. Start from the qualification you are presenting, then check the Law entry in the relevant material. Do not copy an A-Level language condition into a polytechnic or IB application.
The AY2026/2027 bulletin identifies the undergraduate four-year LLB route. Keep this separate from graduate Law programmes, exchange opportunities or professional training. Similar words such as “Law admission” can lead to pages for quite different applicants.
Find and retain the actual invitation
The Law row says applicants are notified through the Applicant Portal, with an SMS alert for those who supplied a valid Singapore mobile number; it says no hard-copy or email notification is sent. Follow the official portal link and retain the electronic invitation as instructed.
Read that invitation for your appointment and required actions. If a detail is unclear, ask through the official admissions route and describe your actual application stage. Do not send identifying documents to a contact copied from an unrelated faculty event or a discussion forum.
Prepare without inventing a test format
The calendar is an administrative source, not a sample paper. Do not infer test duration, permitted materials or question types from another university’s Law assessment. Use any current instructions supplied by NUS for your own invitation.
As general learning practice, take a short argument, identify its claim and supporting evidence, then explain a reasonable objection. Keep this distinct from a prediction about the NUS test. What to do next
Bookmark the Law calendar and the prerequisite route for your qualification. Once invited, work from the saved portal letter and record each required action. Recheck the public calendar for a clearly updated year before making next-cycle plans, and do not treat success at any one stage as an offer.
