Use UCAS’s undergraduate interview invitations guide and the university’s own invitation. UCAS explains that invitations may arrive directly from an institution or through your application. Check both routes so that an email outside the Hub does not get overlooked.
The assessment may involve an interview, audition or examples of your work. Your invitation is the place to confirm the format, required preparation and response instructions. If you cannot attend, tell the university promptly and follow the rescheduling route appropriate to how it contacted you.
For an applicant in Singapore, put the appointment’s stated time zone beside the Singapore equivalent. Your next step is to confirm attendance, prepare the requested material and check the venue or online link. Ask the admissions office about anything missing from the invitation.

Practical checks before you act
Build a clear appointment record
Record the institution, course, date, time zone, response deadline and contact route on one page. For an online interview, keep the joining link beside this record. Recheck the time conversion for the appointment date, especially around seasonal clock changes in the UK.
Practise explaining your thinking
Choose a topic from your studies and explain why you find it interesting. Ask a teacher or adviser to challenge one of your assumptions. Practise listening and clarifying a question before answering; preparation should help you think, rather than make every response sound memorised.
Prepare the actual requested material
Make a separate checklist for a portfolio, audition piece, reading task or other material named in the invitation. Open each file on the device you intend to use. Give yourself time to resolve access problems before the appointment.
Keep the logistics manageable
For a remote appointment, test your microphone, camera and connection and choose a quiet place. For an in-person appointment, plan the route with room for delays. Keep the official contact details available in case a problem arises.
