Automatic renewal can be convenient. The child keeps the same place, the schedule continues and parents do not need to repeat enrolment paperwork every term. Convenience becomes a problem when renewal happens without anyone asking whether the learner still needs the same support, the class still fits or the household still wants the commitment.

A tuition programme should be able to continue because the next period still has a clear job—not merely because the payment method makes continuation easy.

Renewal should start with a current question

Ask what tuition is expected to do in the next term or year. Is the original problem still present? Has a new goal emerged? Is the learner ready for less support?

If nobody can name the next job, automatic continuation deserves review.

Check what has changed since the last enrolment decision

The teacher, group size, timetable, fees, materials or the child’s own school workload may have changed.

A service that fit six months ago may no longer be the same service or the same learner need.

Automatic payment should not replace informed consent to continue

Parents should understand the renewal date, billing method, notice requirements and what action is needed if they do not want another cycle.

Three renewal decisions
