Parkway Parade Primary Science Tuition | Experiments, Evidence & Reasoning

Parkway Parade Primary Science tuition should help students reason from evidence instead of jumping straight to a remembered answer.

Many Science questions provide a diagram, experiment, table or graph before asking for an explanation. The student’s first job is to understand what the evidence shows. Only then should the relevant scientific concept be applied.

This page is for families searching from Parkway Parade and the East. It does not state that eduKate currently operates inside Parkway Parade. Current class locations and schedules are maintained on the eduKate Singapore Contact page.

Read the experiment before recalling the chapter

Students learn to identify what changed, what was measured, what was controlled and what result was observed. This reduces the tendency to answer from memory without using the evidence supplied.

Understand variables and fair comparisons

We teach why variables matter and how a fair comparison supports a stronger conclusion. Students should know not only the labels but what each part of the setup is doing.

Interpret tables and graphs carefully

Labels, units, trends and comparisons are read before explanation begins. Students learn to describe what the data show and then connect the pattern to a scientific reason.

Evidence does not always equal expectation

Good scientific reasoning includes noticing when the observed result differs from what was expected. The student should consider whether the setup, measurement or assumption needs closer attention.

Build the explanation from the evidence

A strong answer often follows this sequence:

  1. state the relevant observation or result;
  2. identify the scientific concept;
  3. explain the mechanism; and
  4. draw the justified conclusion.

PSLE transfer

Near PSLE, experiment and data questions are mixed with other topics so students must decide what kind of reasoning is required. We use mixed practice to test whether the learner can recognise the structure independently.

What progress looks like

We do not promise a fixed grade. The aim is to build students who use evidence carefully and explain Science precisely.
