NASA Tube 06 | Mission Analysis | What Does the Journey Require?

Mission analysis turns the objective into a journey through real conditions.

Before detailed design, teams study trajectories, environments, timing, energy, communications, landing opportunities and other constraints that shape what the mission must survive.

  • Where must the vehicle go?
  • What environments will it encounter?
  • How much time and energy are available?
  • Which windows or constraints cannot be ignored?

This is where an idea begins to acquire measurable boundaries.
