FENCE™ Primary 1 Vocabulary Training Loop (Almost-Code)

Definition Lock

FENCE™ Loop = a closed loop that forces vocabulary to become usable.

FENCE LOOP:
INPUT → BIND → OUTPUT → FEEDBACK → REPAIR

Daily Minimum: 12–18 minutes.


Loop Modules

Module 1 — Input (3–5 min)

  • picture cards, short storybook page, real objects

Module 2 — Bind (4–6 min)

  • category bind + 2 phrases + 1 frame sentence

Module 3 — Output (3–5 min)

  • speak 2 sentences OR write 1 sentence

Module 4 — Feedback (1 min)

Checklist:

  • correct word?
  • correct meaning?
  • correct sentence frame?
  • punctuation/capital (if writing)

Module 5 — Repair (1–3 min)

Pick one:

  • retrieval snap (10 sec × 3)
  • phrase bridge (2 phrases)
  • sentence scaffold (swap 1 slot)

FENCE Word “Gates” (Promotion)

GATE A (Basic):
- 20 words stable at S1
GATE B (Usable):
- 20 words stable at S2
GATE C (Writing):
- 20 words stable at S3
RULE: do not rush gates; widen binds first

Load Training (Primary 1)

Load = writing + thinking + spelling + punctuation at the same time.
So we control load:

  • Week 1–4: mostly speaking outputs
  • Week 5–8: mix speaking + 1 sentence writing
  • Week 9–12: micro-scene writing (6 sentences)
